DHA taps new Deputy to the Assistant Director for Administration and Management

Tom Bundt, a longtime Army Medical leader and change agent who brings perspective gained as the CEO of largest DoD Medical Center on the West Coast, has taken on a new challenge as Deputy to the Assistant Director for Administration and Management at Defense Health Agency (DHA). In this role, he advises and assists the Assistant Director for Management (AD-M) in optimizing the DHA’s resources, personnel, strategy, training and education, research and development, and operations to foster better health, improved readiness, and reduced cost across the Military Health System of over 9 million all Services, active, reserve, guard and their families’ healthcare delivery.

Prior roles include:

  • Chief of Staff – Army Medical Department Center and School
  • Commanding Officer – United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID)
  • Commanding Officer/CEO – Madigan Army Medical Center
