RADM Sylvia Trent-Adams, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health is retiring from HHS

“Sylvia Trent-Adams is retiring from HHS. The principal deputy assistant secretary for health is retiring from the department after nearly 30 years in the Public Health Service, Adam scoops.”

“Trent-Adams was previously the deputy surgeon general in both the Trump and Obama administrations, and did a short stint in 2017 as acting surgeon general. In an email to staff, Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir called her an ‘icon’ who spent much of her career trying to improve access to health care for poor and underserved communities.” Read the full article here.
