Responsibilities:
- Design and implement, lead and accountable to, and transform continuously the Advanced Analytics Division of the Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection (OAWP).
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists to implement the statutory functions for identifying trends to provide a full and substantive analysis collected from OAWP and VA staff offices codified under the following: 38 U.S.C. § 323(c)(1)(G), 38 U.S.C. § 323(f)(B)(i), and 38 U.S.C. § 323(f)(B)(ii).
- Develop a tailored artificial intelligence predictive system for complex and varied data codified under 38 U.S.C. § 323(c)(F) from, including but not limited to, VA Office of the Inspector General, VHA Office of the Medical Inspector, Government Accountability Office, Office of Special Counsel.
- Conduct advanced analysis of text using deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing using Python.
- Build highly optimized models in deep learning to harness accurate and precise understanding of text, images, and quantitative insights.
- Create analytical solutions that range from developing and delivering code and models, to extracting for meaningful insights in your results, and translating them into actionable plans for Leadership.
- Turn analytics into action planning to report recommendations to the Leadership team based on implementations in deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing.
- Deliver to expectations that are programmatic, strategic, tactical, and operational in nature to advise and inform Leadership for decision making.
