Johns Hopkins APL recruits recent CMS CMMI lead as Health Delivery Systems Innovation Leader

Elizabeth Currier, a Business Strategist and Operations Leader focused on clinical transformation through the use of science, technology, engineering and continuous improvement in the business of medicine, has taken on a new role contributing to advancing science and innovation for the Next Generation Care Delivery Group with The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Elizabeth recently served as the CMS Innovation Center Strategic Advisor for payment policy with oversight of Center Quality Strategies, and previously focused on Episode Payment Model Design and on Specialty Physician engagement, particularly around quality measurement and associated performance payment.

Prior roles include:

  • Health Delivery Systems Innovation Leader – The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory
  • CMMI Quality Innovation Council Leader – Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
  • Senior Advisor: CMS Innovation Center, Bundle Specialty Payment Models – Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
