NIH NIAID seeking senior leader to oversee IT security team

“This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Office of Cyberinfrastructure and Computational Biology (OCICB), Office of Science Management and Operations (OSMO), Office of the Director (OD), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).”

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and oversight to the subordinate NIAID IT Security Staff.
  • Provide leadership in the analysis of IT security issues and the development and implementation of NIAID, NIH, and Federal IT security policy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of program goals, policies, objectives, strategies, and procedures for NIAID-wide information security.
  • Assess and identify major NIAID-wide cross-cutting security initiatives and provide leadership and direction of these activities.
  • Direct NIAID staff in keeping abreast of information security programs, risk management analysis and assessment, contingency planning, IT strategic and tactical planning, and other related fields.
  • Serve on senior-level interagency panels and committees concerned with government-wide and Departmental IT security programs.
