This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Infrastructure User Services Group (IUSG), Division of Operations Management (DOM).
As an IT Specialist (Security) (Director), GS-2210-15, you will be leading a team that manages and oversees the operations, enhancement, and delivery of services for multi-tier processing platforms and IT resources within IUSG-managed data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Direct government technical oversight in cooperating with the designed Enterprise Security Group to develop and support IT security guidance and policy.
- Serve as a technical advisor to CMS leadership at the Group, Center, and Agency level on critical information security policies and processes for issues, disaster recovery planning, and environmental support for data center operations and resources.
- Oversee the development of data center standards, policies, and principles; related hardware and software technical requirements; design, implementation, and operation; and security procedures in relation to data centers.
