Federal Health IT solutions specialist, SeKON seeking Chief Solutions Architect

“SeKON has an immediate need for a Chief Solutions Architect (CSA) to join our talented team in Reston, VA. Chief Solutions Architect is accountable for defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across the enterprise. The CSA will be held responsible for outlining and delivering a broad vision for the future of technology operations that affect every employee under that enterprise. This includes data analytics and business intelligence, development and support, infrastructure, security and technical services. Reporting to the CEO, the CSA will be responsible for giving oversight and direction to IT and business leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for shared services and economies of scale.”

“The CSA is a key contributor to the company’s strategy and planning process and will be responsible for both IT operations and for technology and digital innovation. It is critical for the CSA to build strong and productive relationships with all business unit leaders, acting as a true partner and making IT a business enabler.”

“Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the technology we currently use for design, development and administration for efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience performing infrastructure and security service design in both private and public cloud environments
  • Experience with integration of COTS and/or Free and Open Source Software
  • Knowledge of cloud orchestration tools and technologies such as Cloud Formation and Terraform and ability to incorporate these in system implementation activities
  • Experience migrating systems from bare metal and/or private clouds to public clouds such as AWS or C2S
  • Knowledge of and evangelist for infrastructure build automation DevOps tools, technologies and processes (e.g. Chef, Ansible) …”

“Requirements:

  • Proven experience as CSA or similar managerial role
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Background in designing/developing IT Systems and planning IT implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
  • Superior analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • A strong strategic and business mindset
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills…”
