US Navy taps new CHIO and Director for Health Informatics

James Tessier, an informatics leader with broad military Healthcare experience within the US, abroad, and at sea, and who previously served as the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, recently took on a new challenge as the Navy Medicine CHIO with a focus on providing ongoing informatics leadership, strategy, expertise, workforce development, and support to Navy Medicine leadership and enterprise.

Prior roles include:

  • Chief Nursing Informatics Officer – US Navy
  • Perioperative RN – Legacy Health
  • Hospital Corpsman – US Navy
