SEC recruits HHS Configuration and Asset Management Branch Chief to drive InfoSec

Jon Mitchiner, with over two decades of IT experience in information security, policy and planning and project management, who has been in progressively responsible positions in IT security in education and the federal sector, and with time spent as HHS’ Configuration and Asset Management Branch Chief, takes on a new role driving InfoSec at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Prior roles include:

  • Supervisory IT Specialist – HHS
  • Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) – IRS
  • Information Security Officer & Network Director – Gallaudet University
