VA OIT recruits recent Army Chief IT Officer to lead Supplier Management

George Cesonis, whose career included time responsible for the provisioning of all fixed and deployed communications as well as all facets of information management support to a U.S. Army Counterintelligence Group, and time managing/coordinating a team of military, civilians and contractors that carry out the administration, Enterprise Architecture, Information Assurance, planning and operations of local/wide area networks on four classified and one Unclassified networks for the US Army, has taken on a new challenge as Director of Supplier Management at the Office of Strategic Sourcing at the VA’s Office of Information Technology.

Prior roles include:

  • Chief Information Technology Officer – US Army, 650th Military Intelligence Group
  • Deputy Information Technology Officer – US Army, 650th Military Intelligence Group
  • Joint Force Observer/Trainer – Joint Force Training Center
