NIMH taps longtime NHLBI science lead as Scientific Information Officer

Asim Okur, an experienced scientist with expertise in IT infrastructure management, scientific computing, high performance computing management, and network management, who previously served as the Deputy Scientific Information Officer with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, has taken on a new challenge as Scientific Information Officer at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

Prior roles include:

  • Deputy Scientific Information Officer – National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
  • Staff Scientist – National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
  • Postdoctoral Fellow – National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
