NIH seeking Program Manager within Office of IT Services Management (OITSM)

“This position is located in the Office of IT Services Management (OITSM), IT Support Services (ITSS).”

“The incumbent serves as a Supervisory IT Program Manager, with the overall responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the full range of activities involved with ITSS; also serves as a member of the Service Area senior management team, and participates in the development and implementation of Service Area-level program goals, objectives, plans, budgets, and policies.”

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the full range of program management functions required to accomplish the ITSS mission.
  • Lead continuing evaluations of the customer support services provided by the Service Area to ensure that customer requirements and management expectations are being met in a highly effective and efficient manner.
  • Represent ITSS at meetings and conferences, and serve as Service Area Manager as required; work closely with other Service Areas to plan, coordinate, and integrate the development and delivery of systems and services.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of financial and human resources applications; understand the complexities involved in managing large scale programs; and has in-depth knowledge of government contracts and financial and schedule management.
  • Collaborate with CIT CISO and his/her staff to ensure the reliability, accessibility, integrity, and confidentiality of assigned services, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to CIT and NIH systems, networks, and data.
  • Manage efforts in providing continuous centralized and collaborative customer support services to NIH-wide IT users.

Requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal Government performing the following types of tasks:

  • Providing leadership in managing a desktop and end user support program;
  • Developing and implementing policies, programs, and procedures consistent with the organization’s mission;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategic plans for IT customer support services;
  • Recommending the implementation of new IT programs to improve program effectiveness;
  • And developing long term strategic plans for an IT organization.
