DHS CISA recruits longtime HHS cyber lead to support National Risk Management Center

Steve Curren, a former HHS senior cybersecurity advisor, who spent over a decade in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response serving in various IT, emergency preparedness management and intelligence roles, has now moved to the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to be the Assistant Director for Planning and Coordination, National Risk Management Center.

Prior roles include:

  • Senior Cybersecurity Advisor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response – HHS
  • Director, Division of Resilience, Office of Emergency Management – HHS
  • Chief, Critical Infrastructure Protection Branch, Office of Emergency Management – HHS
