DHA Seeking Chief of Operations for the National Capital Region Medical Directorate

Responsibilities:

  • Track, disseminate, evaluate, and develop current and future operations.
  • Coordinate and organize the Market Office (MO) related activities, taskers, policies, and initiatives.
  • Serves as the principal staff officer for all matters concerning training, operations and plans, and force development and modernization.
  • Ensure Market Office orders, policies, procedures, and initiatives are disseminated, tracked, and reviewed.
  • Ensures readiness needs are planned and coordinated and serves as a liaison for taskers, policies, and initiatives as they relate to health care deliver, readiness requirements, and personnel.
  • Adjudicate, track, and evaluate readiness and deployment issues.
  • Leads medical crisis action team planning, execution, and after action review of events requiring military medical support.

Requirements:

“One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice and guidance to senior leadership on plans and operations; planning and coordinating a variety of special events for the command; evaluating readiness and/or deployment tasks; preparing and presenting briefings to senior leadership; and evaluating and managing command tasks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).”
