Health First recruits former DHA Healthcare IT Executive, William Walders

William Walders, a retired Navy Officer who has served as Chief Information Officer for various military hospitals, most notably as CIO of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and who brings over 22 years of leadership experience in Government with a specific focus in Health Care Information Technology, has taken on a new role as CIO with Health First where he will lead planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support the business operations, strategic goals, and health system integrated corporate initiatives.

Prior roles include:

  • Chief Technology Officer of Federal Health & Senior Director of Federal Strategy – VMware
  • Chief of Data Platforms and Services – Defense Health Agency
  • Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
