Health and Human Services (HHS) taps new Acting Inspector General

Joanne Chiedi, will bring experience gained as HHS Principal Deputy Inspector General, overseeing more than 100 HHS programs that account for over $1 trillion in Federal expenditures and advising HHS leadership and Congress on the integrity of the Department’s programs, emerging vulnerabilities, and recommendations for improvement, to this new role as Acting Inspector General for the Agency.

Prior roles include:

  • Principal Deputy Inspector General/Chief Operating Officer – HHS
  • Deputy Inspector General/Chief Financial Officer – HHS
  • Deputy Executive Officer – Justice Dept.
