The Data Scientist will be a member of IMPAQ Health’s Advanced Analytics Division, supporting business and technical managers and providing expertise in the field of data science to assist CMS in implementing the Quality Payment Program (QPP). The Data Scientist will be responsible for digesting the QPP program’s cost measure policies and requirements, documenting the technical specifications, querying the Medicare claims data for the purpose of understanding the data structure and dependencies, assisting software engineers with implementation, and performing quality assurance on the output datasets. The Data Scientist will work within a Scrum team in a fast-paced environment interacting and reporting to CMS stakeholders.
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Health Care-related field (such as public health, public policy, or other relevant areas), Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Statistics or other related field is required. Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in related field preferred
