The solicitation has now been posted related to this Cloud-based Signature Informed Consent for Clinical Treatments and Procedures Enterprise Solution for VA.
VA requires functionality for electronic signature informed consent, and patient education documents for all medical specialties, stored in the VA electronic patient health record, with a single sign on capability through the use of a Personal Identification Verification (PIV) card.
The contractor shall provide and maintain a Signature Informed Consent (SIC) solution capable of documenting signature informed consent for treatments and procedures, advance directives, and other VA Forms, for all clinical specialties at all VHA’s 150 medical facilities located in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines. All references to “SIC” in this document are defined as a cloud-based, load balanced, electronic signature informed consent web application in a clustered high availability database environment.
The contractor shall provide updates to new and existing form content and provide technical maintenance and support for the SIC solution.
The contractor shall provide a cloud-based web application with high availability (as described in section 5.3 of this PWS) clustered enterprise database version of its electronic signature informed consent software that is compatible with the VA’s enterprise architecture. The contractor shall ensure the SIC solution has PIV card and Single Sign-On (SSO) user identity and access management capability.
The contractor shall use an agile methodology and follow the VIP program management process. The contractor shall provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for the SIC solution as a result of this PWS.
