NIH posts opening for NIH Business Systems (NBS) Technical Director

The Office of Management is looking for an energetic, motivated and business driven leader to perform as the NIH Business Systems (NBS) director. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert in the application of and database management concepts and principles in support of the Oracle e-Business and Supply Chain Management solutions or comparable environments and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) package environments.

As the NIH Business Systems Director your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing oversight and guidance in the awarding of NBS contracts/procurements, selecting methodologies and tools, estimating resource requirements and managing system integration and test phases.
  • Serving as the senior business/functional executive providing overall oversight, leadership and management for a large-scale, complex (multi-million dollar/ multiyear) business information technology program that underpins the operation of approximately $32 billion-biomedical financial enterprise system.
  • Overseeing and monitoring information resources strategy and planning including contingency planning and disaster recovery.
