NIH NIA issues sources sought for Central Biorepository – Data Coordination and Systems Management

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is establishing the NIA Central Biorepository to provide a state-of-the-art inventory system for the storage and distribution of biospecimens and related data/resource.

The main purpose of this project is to provide data coordination and systems management for the NIA Central Biorepository. In this project, clinical data/resources are related to biospecimens including, but not limited to, serum, plasma, urine, genetic materials such as DNA, buccal cells, and Epstein-Barr virus cells and cell pellets. All of these, collected during the conduction of studies supported by NIA.

The Contractors responsible for the NIA Central Biorepository Data Coordination and Systems Management and for the NIA Central Biorepository Biological Specimens Storage shall collaborate to develop tools to facilitate management and use of the NIA Central Biorepository resources…
