Hearing: The Curious Case of the VISN Takeover: Assessing VA’s Governance Structure

The Committee on Veterans’ Affairs meets May 22, 2018 at 10am. Witness to appear include “Carolyn Clancy, M.D. Executive in Charge Veterans Health Administration U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; The Honorable Michael Missal Inspector General Office of Inspector General U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Roscoe G. Butler Deputy Director for Health Care National Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation Division The American Legion; and Dr. Bryan Gamble, “a former private-sector health care executive who has been working at the Orlando, Fla., VA medical center, to take over oversight of the three regions and to lead an effort to draft a plan to reorganize VA regional governance as a whole by July 1.” Meeting documents are available here.
