Solicitation: HHS Medicare Patient Safety Monitoring System (MPSMS) data analysis support

The successful CMS Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) or a Beneficiary and Family Centered Care Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO) prime contractor, or an approved subcontractor of a QIN-QIO or BFCC-QIO prime contractor will “will analyze raw data abstracted from selected medical records at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Clinic Data Abstraction Center (CDAC) to generate summary and in-depth data on patient safety using the Medicare Patient Safety Monitoring System (MPSMS) for the period from CY 2017 to CY 2019. Also, the contractor will perform supporting analyses on patient safety data on the Quality of Safety Review System (QSRS) for the period covering CY 2017 to CY 2021. These patient safety data are all from acute care hospitals. Optional tasks contain analyses of data from other, non-acute care, inpatient settings.”
