By any measure, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has a massive mission. Some 100 million Americans receive its services. It expends some $700 billion a year. Its thousands of ever-changing regulations affect nearly every part of the U.S. health-care system. Yet like all agencies, CMS has a budget and a staff to make sure things run properly. Jennifer Main is the chief financial officer.
